There is Arapaho National Forest which is a year round place to go, as there is fishing, hunting, skiing, and hiking in this forest with lots of wildlife. Cache La Poudre River offers the holiday maker the chance to try white-water and paddling activities. The Farm at Lee Martinez Park offers the children a place to run around and play as well as having a petting zoo and museum, all rolled into one.

Fossil Creek Park really has so much to offer, children and adults alike, from the great playground with things like the climbing wall to the normal things like swings. There is a walk/ jogging path taking you around some lakes and they have a dog park area. Fort Collins Museum is good for a few hours and is enjoyable telling about the local history.

Save a night to take the family to a good drive-in, at the Holiday Twin Drive-In Theatre here you get two films for the price of one, there are great snacks and this is a really friendly place. On the Friday night and Saturday night they have a BBQ.
